A couple weekends ago, the first snow of the season arrived here in our little part of southern Missouri. We knew that it wouldn't last long, so we called our good friends Addie and Mark to see if they wanted to go on a quick hike on their property. In my last post I was lamenting about the lack of warm weather and green scenery, but we always love to go exploring when opportunity knocks, no matter what the weather is like! We have been on several snowy hikes throughout the years, and there is something incredibly serene and peaceful about being in the woods while the snow floats to the ground.
This first photo is actually from the end of the hike, but it was one of my favorite shots of the day. This is where the path comes back around to where they drive their trucks and ATVs, ride horses, and walk throughout all the seasons!
And of course, we had to take a self-timer photo on the iPhone ;)
Addie and Mark live about 5 miles outside of the city limits of our little town and they have some amazingly beautiful property out in the country. The four of us spent about an hour or two walking around in the snow and saw all sorts of natural beauty and geological treats! ;) I'll stop with the words for now and just let the pictures speak for themselves! :)
As our hike came to an end, I asked my friends to stop for a quick photo in the snow in front of their beautiful home
Thanks for walking with us in the snow in our beautiful Missouri Ozarks, and as always, be on the lookout for new outdoor adventures!!!
