WAN is the protocol token used on WANchain. Wanchain is the world’s first and only interoperable Blockchain centralizing the decentralized systems. Wanchain is not merely a universal cross-chain protocol; it is a distributed ledger that records cross-chain and intra-chain transactions.
WAN token started with market price of $0.34 USD during the initial coin offering towards the end of 2017. On 24th of March, 2018, the token saw an increase in value which got it a market price of $4.61 with a market capitalization of $97,961,000 USD, meaning the coin got over 500% rise in value in less than 4 months of its listing. In April, the WAN token was moved away from Ethereum’s ERC 20 and this new development pave way to a potential rise in value. On May 3rd, 2018, it got an all-time highest value of $9.9 USD with an unbelievable market cap of $1,030,626,058 USD. This got countless crypto traders attention and many investors joined the Wanchain Blockchain. However, volatility, which has kept cryptocurrencies in the downtrend this year, has resulted in a drop in value for WAN token in the recent months.
As at press time, WAN is priced at $1.02 USD with a market cap of $108,005,942 USD which signifies 4.28% rise in value in 24hrs. It is being traded at 0.00015728BTC with 3.93% rise in value in 24hrs. About 106,152,493 WAN is circulating in the market in the last 24hrs from the total supply of 210,000,000 tokens.

Despite the influence of volatility in crypto markets, WAN is doing fine and although it is having a lower value these days, compared to other Altcoins, we can say this token is stable. This is a token with a very high potential and as a crypto trader, you may want to consider investing on it.
