I love the ocean. It brings a sense of inner peace to my soul. There is truly no other place I feel at home with myself. I've learned to adapt and adjust to everyday living. Truly since I backpacked that year from Costa Rica to Brazil...a part of me discovered total and complete BLISS. I had the answer to my bliss. I found my home which was anywhere and everywhere but on the move. I love to be adaptable, on my toes, quick to think and figure things out. Meeting new people from all walks of life, learning about each and every unique perspective and set of eyes. It's hard to communicate HOW much value there is in experiences.
You wouldn't believe me if I told you how many times I tell people I'm off to travel and they say "well enjoy it while you're young". I always reply, well this is my life and always will be my main calling. I have a career which supports my passion and everyday I become a little more comfortable and confident sharing that. In fact I feel like screaming it to the world.
Why is it good to get it out while I'm young? So that I make sure I actually get to do something fun with my life? Because working 9-5 and having a busy family, busy job, busy schedule is going to be so BUSY that I won't be able to enjoy those blissful moments anymore?
What if we stopped looking at life this way? Seriously, what would I have to do or say to ask you to STOP right in this moment and question why you have the beliefs you have? Is it making you totally happy? Feel totally fuelled, energized, passionate? Do you come home lifted or drained? Who do you surround yourself with? What stories do you share or accept to hear?
I'm not saying travel is for you, or anyone. It's for me. I'm wondering if people know there is space between their current way of life and desired way of life, why the F they don't take a stand and PURSUE with DELIBERATE AND RELENTLESS INTENTION to have that which they most desire.
This photo is MY personal BLISS. Gazing at the ocean as the sun goes down, bikini on, vibrant colours representing my heart, sandy, greasy, salty hair - NATURAL. Slow breaths to stay grounded and in a state of appreciation, holding my new BABY! This doesn't have to be an "all the time kind of thing", but it definitely has to be a Jess thing every year, many times to support in my ever-expanding connection to my SELF.
What are you doing to connect with yourself everyday? What do you need to make more time for in life? What do you need allow yourself to be real and honest about. Are you ready to step outside the square box society has built for us? Want to find out how else to do things and to be successful, in bliss, in connection and in community? If you're saying YES and vibing yes. I am so happy for you and if you aren't I'm still so happy for you. You're on your own journey and that is just beautiful. Enjoy your life, ask questions and when you've done all the research you can...stay calm, stay humble and ask yourself in a quiet moment what the answer is. It lies within, just have patience that when you are ready to know, you will allow the answers to flow.
