Hi everyone, after an introduction into watercolors brings you the first tutorial for painting some simple yet nice painting. It is more like experiment or playing with effects, so I hope you will enjoy it.
You will need:
- watercolors
- salt
- bigger round brush
- watercolor paper A5 or A6 (type is up to you)
The process
💧 Prepare everything for painting. You can put salt into some small plate, so it will be easy for you to pick it. You can draw an outline of agate, but it is not ifficult to improvise. If you use google pictures you will see there are many different colors and shapes of this agate stone.

💧 You can start to paint. The brush should be really wet, so we could easily spill the paint after we add another color. We are going to use only 3 colors here - black, green and blue. Shades are up to you.
💧 You need to work quickly. Now add two rounds between. I used two shades of green. The brush can be dry more.

💧 Blue is going to fill the rest. As some parts are wet, they should spill and make transitions. While youa are painting try to touch the black edges with the top of your brush as you can see it below. Use light blue first.

💧 While the painting is wet, add salt.

💧 Now just grab more color and add it into the wet area. Let the painting dry and remove salt.

You can try also some different colors and differend watercolor paper types. All types have some nature and it makes the effects look originally.
I hope this tutorial was helpful and you got some inspiration :) If you want to know more about watercolors, just follow
