You have your daily cup of coffee as soon as you wake up in the morning. Then for breakfast, you pour yourself a glass of orange juice.
After breakfast, you’re feeling plenty full of food and liquids. Come lunch time, you head to the local sandwich shop and purchase the combo meal that includes chips and a soda. Still no need to get a water, right?
It’s getting to the end of the workday and you’re starting to feel tired again, so you go to the nearby Starbucks for their 2 for 1 afternoon frappacino deal. You give one to your coworker and it gets you through the rest of the workday.
You get home after a long, stressful day of work and could use a drink to relax. You pour yourself a glass of wine, turn on the tv, and let your stress fade into the ether.
You kept yourself plenty full of liquids all day, but did you notice something? You didn’t have a single glass of water!
I know, I know. Everyone says to drink eight glasses per day.
Just because your juice, coffee, and soda have water in them, doesn’t mean that they’re a sufficient replacement for water! You need pure water!
Why you need to drink more water
Your body is made up of mostly water
The human body is more than 2/3 water. Water is essential for pretty much every bodily function. If you're not getting enough water, your body will struggle to function properly.
