For day 2
I choose DAVID BOWIE
the song that got me was ports of Amsterdam I visited my cousin in Amsterdam I think I was eleven, she was a few years older and in her little rooftop room she played this really loud, she lived on the Singel for people from Amsterdam they know this is right on a canal with the boats going up and down I felt like I belonged in the song :-) My cousin Liesje Klompmaker is not there anymore to thank, she chose to finish her life in 1989 I think it was. But there for this song and singer became in my top 7
SInce than I always was a fan of his music, when I was about 17 a friend in Belgium made me totally a fan by giving me this song on a cassette :-) Oh my love JANINE !!! How can I not fall in love, he sung a song for me !
The man had a kind of humour I really liked so I also loved his Laughing gnome !
The only song I did not like was china girl, it just did not get me.
But his last song, in the fear of dying written, has its impact on me, feel and see his fear desperate trying to grab life. Brings me in tears everytime
so I will first nominate number 2 for this challenge, with a special request! Because this man can sing! and play a guitar he has got a fantastic voice. I would love you to take part in this challenge, but I would love to hear you sing your favorite song of wayback ! :-)
