Since ancient times, scientists are very interested in Tuanako city ruins in the Andes Mountains, located on the shore of Lake Titicaca, the largest freshwater lake in South America.
Most importantly, this lake is 3812 meters above sea level, 322 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean.
However, there is a surviving marine terminal.
Moreover, in the lake is breeding Pacific population - sea urchins, and the water in the southern part of the lake so far is salty water.
Scientists wonder, how many thousands of years have passed since the time when the lake was Pacific Bay in which came up the vessels.
Polish-born Bolivian resident Arthur Posnansky often called "Arturo", spent most of his life in this country. Posnansky traveled the Bolivian and Peruvian highlands and study archaeological sites.
He wrote a lot of books and most important book Tihuanacu, the Cradle of American Man. In book he expressed the opinion that this city ruins are about 17 thousand years. On the city's stone gate carved on a calendar, showing the year has 290 days!? So it would follow that day (twenty-four hours) at that time lasted more than 30 hours.
Underwater exploration in the Lake Titicaca began in 1955. The 1960 Argentine underwater swimming federation announced that divers discovered the lake at the bottom of the whole architectural ensemble. There was found a stone brick, very perfectly lined causeway, in another place, leaning against the stone block foundation stood human height wall residue.
Investigators told reporters that they found the temples, and who knows where the stone paths lead away. They saw the water overgrown with vegetation stairs leading to the depths of the lake.
In 1968, the Lake Titicaca came the famous ocean explorer Jacques-Yves Cous expedition. Divers brought many kinds of devices, the two submersible vehicles. The expedition confirmed the Argentinean discoveries.
According to an old legend, the Inca indigenous tribes hiding from Spanish to Lake Titicaca drowned enormous wealth. Among them, perhaps, lies and weighing several tons of gold disk on which was written the oldest American history.
But the Inca treasures Cousteau expedition not destined to find. Because Lake Titicaca is even 180 kilometers in length, its width (widest point) is 60 kilometers away, and the depth - about 300 meters.
Scientists in October 2013 from Bolivia and Belgium formally introduced the first underwater expedition on Lake Titicaca results.
Huinaimaros archaeological project - Bolivian general and Belgian scientists work started in summer 2013, and lasted about three years.
Team's main goal was - to pull out wealth at the bottom of Lake Titicaca. And riches, they and today are hiding in the depths.
