For richest self made women, many exist, but the wealth takes a big gap.
Judy Faulkner, the founder of Epic Systems is the leader of that worth 5 billion.
Meg Whitman is second being the former eBay CEO worth 4.7 billion.
Oprah is 4.4 billion.
After that, a few names pop up such as Sara Blakely, Kim Kardashian & Kylie Jenner hold around a billion dollars and people like Kendra Scott are likely to join that crowd.
So can anyone in the current crowd go to number one?
Going to make two predictions.
The first one is Melanie Perkins who is out of Australia and co-founded Canva.
Canva started in 2013 and already has taken on a valuation of 50 billion dollars as of last week. They are expected to do a billion in revenue in 2021 and could honestly grow to do a hundred billion dollar IPO.
Issue though is Perkins doesn’t seem to have a ton of equity, either through fundraising or donations. Her net worth is estimated at 1-2 billion, which means Canva would need to hit Microsoft level valuations to see her taking a top 10 spot.
I also think Canva is heavily overvalued.
The second one and my pick for most likely to cross into the top 10, if not take number one is Rihanna.
33 years old
Worth 1.7 billion
Has a growing company that is profitable and the brand isn’t tied directly with her.
At this pace, I could see her taking something like a 25 billion dollar net worth in 20 years and see her becoming the Bernard Arnault of the United States.
Kim Kardashian being at a billion at age 40 also has a shot and same for Kylie Jenner.
It’s a weird thing to think on, but as of now, I don’t see any tech founder with a chance at crossing over 10 billion. Could be totally wrong there, but this seems likely.
