The second largest hail storm in El Paso County History rolled through the south end of Colorado Springs today. This storm destroyed cars, property and even killed a few animals at the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo. Here are some of the pictures from today’s wicked storms.
Some of the hail was this big but most of it was golf ball to Apple size. The picture below is NOT snow, this is hail and it’s the middle of the summer here. It looks like a cold day in December though.
Can you imagine sitting inside your car on the highway (hundreds of cars were pulled over) and watching hail come through the windshield and right into you lap??? Crazy!
Contractors and auto body shops were already busy with a storm that rolled through here about 5 weeks ago.....now this.
Colorado weather is unpredictable and sometimes very dangerous no matter what season it is.
