Here's my entry to #wednesdaywalk initiated by .
I went for a short walk around my local nature reserve called Carsington Water. Local artist Andrew Frost has carved some new sculptures using a chainsaw. I've seen him in action. Good but scary! This is a wizard and a dragon.
I then walked to look at the stones at Stones Island. They have holes in them so people can see the panoramic views.
At the reservoir there are plenty of bird hides. Unfortunately, this time I didn't spot many birds so I will probably return in the summer. The reservoir is beginning to fill up again after a hot summer.
There's a variety of things to do at the nature reserve, walking, cycling, bird watching, sailing, horse riding etc. There's also a few good shops to get your souvenirs from. I carried on walking around the reservoir, calling in at the RSPB shop to get some bird seed before heading home.
Thank you for popping by.
