Happy new month #WednesdayWalk community and to its founder . It's another humpday. It's time to go out and have a walk. This travel blog I'll share with you today was during my walk to the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui last Chinese New Year. This is long overdue and I thought I needed to post it already so I could declutter images in my gallery.
The weather that day was just so perfect to have an afternoon stroll along the promenade. This Avenue of Stars is a replica of the Walk of Fame, located along the 440-meter promenade of Tsim Sha Tsui and is a popular destination for those looking for a great relaxation spot along the harbor while overlooking the iconic Hong Kong skyline. Families usually gather or have a walk here, and kids can even play in its spacious walkway. Besides, the harbor view is a beauty to behold.

By the name itself, Avenue of Stars was made in honor of Hong Kong's popular celebrities, including those who kicked the bucket that left a legacy in the film industry. Upon stepping onto the promenade, the 20ft tall bronze statue for Hong Kong Film Award is the main attraction.

While strolling along this promenade, you will learn a little about HK film history. There are plaques set in cement containing handprints and autographs of different celebrities, such as Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, and others. You might find some of the names unfamiliar, especially if you aren't into watching Chinese films.

There are a few bronze statues of some renowned HK celebrities like Bruce Lee permanently built here as well. In the left photo is the legendary Bruce Lee, while in the right photo is the daughter of Hong Kong, Anita Mui.

A replica of the 2008 Summer Olympic torch is also built along the promenade. It was made to commemorate the Summer Olympics held in Beijing.

Meanwhile, this shed with seats, or whatever they call it since it doesn't provide any shed at all, is a unique structure along Avenue of Stars that resembles a canopy of a tree.

This promenade is a perfect spot to take photoshoots with the iconic Central Harbor, Hong Kong's capital city.

You can also get a glimpse of the iconic junk boat, ferries, and some cruises traversing the water in scheduled hours.

There are benches provided for resting, so the elderly don't need to worry after some walks.

Aside from walking along the Avenue of Stars, there are a lot of sights to see in this area. The Creative Market was one of those attractions during my visit. Statues of ponies with different designs and colors were installed in the open space facing the waterfront.

Some notable museums are also located in this area, such as the Science Museum, Space Museum, HKMOA, the famous K11 Mall, the Peninsula, and others.

Apart from it, there are good cafes, bars, and restaurants along the promenade where you can have a blast after the long walk. You can see a lot of foreigners here each day.

The best part here is the beautiful sunset at dawn and the spectacular Symphony of lights at night. That will be shared in a separate article.

The iconic red junk boat and sunset. A beauty to behold, isn't it?

That's all for today's Wednesday Walk. Hope you enjoyed it.
