My commitments are currency. You can bank on them. If I say I'm going to do something you better believe it's going to happen. If I say I won't you can bank on that as well.
We are only as valuable as our word.
With that I find that I'm honest to a fault. I'd much rather give the truth and live with its consequences than lie. I am true to my words.
I'm fallible at times but I hold myself accountable to my word and my commitments.
I move through this world driven by strength of self and loyalty to others.
I know who I am and what I am about. I trust others to join my tribe based on similar principles.
So when I told my Dad yesterday that I would take him to the next town today it was a commitment I intended to keep; one of many things I desired to accomplish today.
My Dad subscribes to my tribe so he understands me. He knows what he can expect from me.
On our way to the next town I saw a... squirrel. Lol
Figuratively not literally. (Though we do get a lot of squirrel activity in our front yard).
I pulled off on Main Street in that little small town on the way to the store and I got in my #WednesdayWalk challenge initiated by (JJ)
Two birds, one stone, and all that.
My Dad never minds when I divert from the task at hand for a random photoshoot. He's just along for my ride. He's come to expect a random adventure when he's with me.
We made it to and from the store...just like I said, even if we made a small diversion along the way.
