Earlier this morning I went to the city, had to buy a few things that I can't find in my small town ...
... as I was approaching the great shopping mall monolith that somehow looks like something out of a possible 2001: The space odyssey parody ... I thought, well, why not transform this boring experience into the Wednesday walk and have a bit of fun through photography ...
... so I wandered around the parking place with the camera ... trying to distill some at least acceptably interesting shots out of this dull and uninspiring place on the outskirts of the city ... there is a construction of another similar ( actually the same, really ... all these shopping things are the same ... with just a vague illusion of some diversity ) mall and that working disorder added a bit of contrast and atmosphere ...
... so I shot the monolith in the company of the big crane ...
... and a lovely detail of that crane ...
... I shot the woman working in a small bakery stand ...
... and the bombastic shop names ... that, if you are suggestable or high on some drugs, can make you feel like being in a much bigger city then the one in which you really are ...
... and above all ... I shot the seagull above all that human activity ...
... the place was gorgeously dull, the day appropriately gray ... and there was this large Velpro thing with some nice geometries to put in a simple composition ...
... and some other red and gray details that looked pretty cool ...
... this little ... I don't know the exact word in English ... nor in my native language ... it's a little house for the security guard or something like that ... like a dog house for a human Rottweiler ... this little dog house had some nice colors too ... very visible among all the surrounding gray ... but the most beautiful thing I found in this pretty boring place ...
... is this ... some big pipes ... that looked beautifully surreal ... like some big shiny steampunk worm, crawling on the rooftop ...
... this scene kicked me out of reality ... and for a moment ... I saw things in a different, more trippy way ... but this is another story, more appropriate for a Thursday post ...
... oh ! I almost forgot ... there were some shiny examples of consumeristic education ... where you can learn some cool things about some shopping machines - for free!
... yap, great stuff ... I still can't believe the fun I had ... was I dreaming?
( As always in these walks on Steemit, the photographs are my work )
