VISIT TO BARADIDA PARK , PART 1

In this opportunity I am going to show you with great pride the visit I made to the Bararida Zoo and Botanical Park in the city of Barquisimeto in Venezuela. A beautiful park that we can enjoy with the family and that gives us the opportunity to know the flora and fauna. It is a park of easy access since it is in the center of the city of Barquisimeto. It has an entrance on Avenida de los Abogados and another entrance on Avenida Libertador. In this first publication I will concentrate on showing you the contact zoo and the activities we can do in the artificial lake.

As for the contact zoo, the animals that we observed are very well cared for and fed. This area of the park serves for children and young people to have their first experiences with animals that we can get in any farm or cottage. Among the animals we saw were dwarf goats, Vietnamese pigs, wild ducks, calves, sheep and a Pony.
The animal that caught our attention the most was a dwarf goat that is pregnant and shows off her condition with an exuberant belly. We asked the Zoo staff and they told us that she was normal and that she was going to have only one calf.
The Pony is very docile and lets himself be touched. And the most mischievous are the Vietnamese piglets. In general, all the animals in this contact zoo are docile and not shy.

As for the area where the lake is, we had a great surprise, since the fleet of boats was renewed and now has electric boats and transparent (acrylic) boats. So that the experience of sailing on the lake is the most pleasant and enjoyable.
An artificial lake of crystalline waters where you can observe the Galapagos and fish, which keep you company on your tour of the lake.
I really liked the transparent boat because it gives the sensation of being submerged in the water with the fish. I invite you to enjoy this weekend experience.
I recommend you to wear appropriate clothes and shoes for the occasion. Since the Bararida Park is very large, it has an area of 18.50 hectares and you should also hydrate and use sunscreen, since in Barquisimeto at this time of the year, the days are sunny and with high temperatures, which can cause dehydration.
