Hello everyone I hope you're well today. I will be writing on home schooling, I hope you enjoy.
This is teaching a child at home.
I personally think it's better to send a child to private or public institution than for the child to be home schooled. You can't compare a child that is home schooled to a child that attended private or public institutions.
MY PERSONAL OPINION
I feel children that are home schooled do not experience what other children that attends private or public institutions experience, basically, most parents feel they are protecting their children example from being bullied. Sooner or later, these children will eventually be exposed to being bullied or whatever they are being protected from.
Home schooling brings parents closer to their children, it also prevents the child from peer pressure.
When a child is home schooled, they would not be able to socialize with other children unlike a child that attends private or public institutions. There is inadequate educational facilities that can be used to train the child. There will be lack of qualified teachers or educators to train the child, some parents can not afford qualified teachers to train their children.
When a child attends a private or public institution, the child will socialize without any problem and also participate in activities (for example, participating in sports, practicals and so on). Public or private institutions help to expose the children to different life experiences which they can not learn if they are being home schooled.
HOME SCHOOLING IN AFRICA USING NIGERIA AS A CASE STUDY.
In Nigeria, home schooling is not common. Since home schooling was introduced into the schooling system, most parents prefer to send their children to private or public institutions so they can have time for themselves. Home schooling is not as effective in Nigeria as it is in other countries because the curriculum of the school will not be followed as it should in private or public institutions.
Furthermore, private or public institutions should be encouraged to enable children have a better understanding about the outside world because sooner or later they might find themselves in private or public institutions which may appear strange to them.
