Heh... A busy week indeed.

Just as the Yuletide passed, we had to quickly start preparing for Ninnu's upcoming litter. I had to pick up the puppy box from my brother, buy a few essentials we would need for the birthing event, and also prepare the New Year's celebration meals.

We ended up buying a lot of ingredients in advance. In fact we had already made some of the food choices before Christmas Eve, but there were still some things we had missed, and those we wanted more. One being the smetana herrings. (Too bad the herrings had for some reason already gone bad, so I ended up throwing the whole dish in the bio-recyclables bin.)

Ninnu was ultimately too early with her puppies. Her pregnancy had taken only 59 days before the puppies were born, instead of the approximate of 63 days.

On New Year's Eve, Ninnu gave birth to 3 lively little puppies, Maksimillian, Miska and Milaya...

But in the saddest way ever, the New Year started with one more puppy, Moriz, 8 hours late, and stillborn. 😭

However, life goes on, and Ninnu is busy caring for the 3 of the remaining puppies.
