My dear wife has been trying to persuade me to have a green smoothie with my breakfast for many years now. This week, I capitulated, found that it was actually quite a nice way to start the day and carried on all week. Of course by today I had to spend most of my time in bed, laid low by lurgy - apparently this is known as a "healing crisis" the new age nutritional form of "no pain, no gain". I'm scoffing, but part of me also knows it to have a glimmer of truth.
I managed four out of five days of inktober, it's a good practice for me to put something on paper regularly and be OK about chucking it out there.
I made my first vlog in a couple of months. I'd just run down the river, turned right at the pillbox and done the woodland loop, but I ran out of steam by the lock-keeper's cottages. And then just after I filmed I came across some cut down trees that someone had drawn a bear's face on.
I dropped into the Guildford Makerspace meetup at the local library. Lots of Raspberry Pi's, an Arduino and a couple of Makey Makeys. The 3D-printer was chugging away in the corner. Good to see what's on locally.
I walked up to the University and saw someone there about a possible collaboration. Still early days so not much to say, but a positive conversation. The weather was confusingly warm. When I looked outside I thought I'd need a coat and scarf but five minutes up the road I had to take them both off.
Yesterday was a bit of a blur, but I had smoked mackerel for lunch, I know that much.
