This was a very memorable trip to Budapest. Mostly because it was shared with my parents.

What a gift that I get to share some time with them and in such a beautiful city.
As I enter my mid forties I am acutely aware that the opportunity to have these moments with my parents is something I must not take for granted.

To me the Danube seemed to symbolise the passing of time. It is both bitter sweet to witness its beauty and be in awe of the implacable strength of the moving water in one direction. You defy the currents at your own peril.
