One of the best ways to have your content found on Steemit is to provide accurate and meaningful Tag information.
The most common place for a Steemit user to add tag categories is in the Category Line.
But Steemit users can also add hashtags in a post. For example and #minnowsunite and #whalepower
But you still have to follow the 5 Tag Rule!
Notice the Steemit message I receive when I include 5 categories in the category line and 2 hashtags in the post - You have 7 total tags. Please use only 5 in your post and category line.
My advice
- If you can find ways to incorporate hashtags in your post, then go for it.
- Always make sure that you are usually relevant tags.
- Always make sure that you are entering 5 tags for every post. 5 tags increase your post's exposure to more readers.
- Make sure that you do not have extra spacing between tags in your category line. See more information in the following article. Steemit Error: Please use only 5 categories
