For my entry today into the whiteiswhite challenge, I'm sharing a photo that I took this afternoon of a spherical metal decoration that my parents have at their house. They have this little decoration on one of the bookshelves in their main hallway. As you can tell from looking at it, there are a few metal hinges that make up this complex decoration. This allows several of the rings to rotate in relation to one another, although the hinges aren't very well greased so they don't rotate freely on their own.
The design of this decoration reminds me a lot of some sort of elaborate machine that you'd expect to find in a sci-fi movie or a futuristic video game.
