Its been a long wait before British Airways announced the facility of Wi-Fi on flights. Initially the service is available only in 3 planes and will come to 118 long-haul aircrafts over the next two years. Passengers will get alerted to the presence of on-board Wi-Fi shortly after the flight gets underway.
It will be a nice feeling for any passenger to use Wi-Fi at the height of 35,000 feet. As per details by the company, Wi-Fi package will be activated on the device you bought for as the flight reaches 10,000 feet. You can choose among different available packages. Basic price for the Browse package is £4.99 while the Stream package will cost you £7.99. These prices are for one hour Wi-Fi use.
According to British Airways, short-haul flights will also get connectivity in the future and almost 90 percent planes will have Wi-Fi facility by 2019.
