Over 150,000 kids from all across Canada are already members. Earth Rangers teaches them how to be environmentally friendly and how to take actions that will help make a difference!
Through this group Luke has decided to start a fundraising campaign to help save the Gray Foxes.
He took out $10 from his own piggy bank and has set a fundraising goal of $150!
I am very proud of him. He is so excited.
Now we need your help!
Gray Foxes are the only member of the dog family that can climb trees. They are approximately the size of a the average house cat.
Unfortunately Gray Foxes are threatened in Canada and are now only found in one place. That place in Pelee Island in Ontario which is only about an hour and a half from where we live.
Earth Rangers are working to restore a large area of their habitat on the island including creating open areas and brush ideal for hunting and making their dens. We're also controlling the spread of invasive species, which are overtaking plants gray foxes and their prey like to eat.
Please make a donation if possible! It would mean a lot to Luke. We are going to campaign to relatives this weekend as well but you here on Steemit will get the first chance!
