One fine early morning in the masai mara savannah we were scouting for some action and suddenly CB radio came alive
there was a game going on a pack of lioness were trying to hunt a cape buffalo calf,
out driver flew us over there already few vehicles had managed to get the prime spot to witness the action, i had asked the driver to keep the sun on my back as i need the maximum light to freeze the action,
we were luck the lioness had managed to isolate the calf away from the heard and this moment unfolded in front of us
the moment when the lioness ponded on the calf the fear in the eyes of the calf the absolute silence of the crowd around it was just amazing.
life is cruel it has no emotions it needs to move on and keep moving.
we saw the mother of the calf desperately watching its calf being killed and eaten by the lionesses , after a while it started grazing back as if nothing had happened.
we witnessed the feast till the lionesses stomach were full they couldn't gulp it further.. then the vultures joined in to finish whatever was left.
