If you've been following my blog for a couple of months, you'll know that I live near a canal where a bunch of ducks of different breeds call home.
Below was the first encounter I had with the ducklings, as I made sure no cars hit them as them crossed the road.
Here they are in the canal probably a month or two later.
Here they were yesterday, crossing that same road. (Sometimes idiots just speed right through and try to dodge them but the ducks don't know what to do and start flying and some have gotten hit in he past)
To procreate, animals cannot be under constant stress of finding food or constant threat of predation - my neighbor comes out and feeds them every day, and I'm pretty sure that's the only reason there are so many. He's like the mother duck's mother lol.
