Good evening, Steemians!
I just got back from our open house at the high school where I teach. I got home, and about 10 minutes later I saw one of my neighbor's running down the road with his daughter. He told me that there was a small wild pig in the neighborhood. Sure enough, there he was.
He was very docile at first, didn't get afraid when I approached.
He didn't mind me, just eating grass and drinking water from the canal.
Actually pretty cute.
Then, all of the sudden, some ducks landed in the water and I think they spooked him.
Before I knew it, it began raining very hard and he was gone. It's pretty cool to be able to see wild animals like pigs in our neighborhood. Sad thing is he will probably be hunted and made a meal of. There is a huge wildlife preserve right across the street as you exit our neighborhood, so he likely came out of there.
Thanks for stopping by, Steemians! Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I did taking them!
