Franschhoek Cellar: 2018 Shiraz.
On Saturday, we had a braai at home, where I love my beer, my wife love her wine!! (Just a little bit less than what she loves me!! LOL)
I love to look for good wines, that she will love, and this time, I choose a nice 2018 Shiraz, from Franschhoek Cellars. I find that Shiraz, is smoother than most other red wines!! 2018 Is still a bit young, normally, I prefer a bit more mature red wine!!
The label states that this wine is loved at home and acclaimed abroad!! They further state that this wine is well structured with mulberry, plum, pepper and spice!! They say it goes well with roasted venison, mature cheddar or blue veined cheese. Well we had nothing of those things, but we had some nice steak, pork ribs and sausage on the fire!!
I did taste the wine and thought it really went well with the braai, to even relax more, sitting next to the fire and just talking to each other!!
I liked the wine, but off cause I had some beer, which I will post on soon!!
There are some rumors going around that they are going to restrict the sale of alcohol again - I hope it is only rumors!!
