Wine is Quite Simple to Make
You can also make wine out of an amazing number of foods. This is a 3 gallon carboy I set up yesterday.
Ingredients
- Reverse Osmosis Filtered Water
- Two Packages of small boxes of raisins
- The Juice of Three Grapefruit
- A Packet of Bread Yeast
- 5Lbs of Sugar
Normally I use honey for a 'mead' type wine. With sugar I ferment as much of it out as possible for a very dry wine. I have no idea if this will be a good wine or not!! lol
Add raisins and juice. Heat up some of the filtered water to boiling, let cool for 15 minutes and pour over the raisins and juice. Let sit for 15 minutes. Fill to about the level you see in the photo above. Add 4lbs of sugar. stopper and shake till the sugar is dissolved. Add packet of yeast and airlock.
Add the last Lb of sugar when the fermentation slows in a few days. ;)
