What A Fantastic First Week We Have Had!!!!

I must admit that I didn't expect the first week of our contest to be quite so popular but with twelve valid entries I would say that we have gotten off to an amazing start!

The sun has been out in my fair city today which is a very rare thing so I took the time to enjoy it with family. I intended to also include the details of next weeks contest in this post but I have decided that I will make another post tomorrow to launch week two of the contest!

I would like to congratulate our winners and thank you all once again for a great start to the contest and hope you will all return next week.

I was especially pleased that Hive account@blackvapor was able to have such a great time with his children in taking part and would like to try and increase the number of younger participants in the weeks to come. I was also very pleased with how many extremely talented artists were able and willing to take part but would like to get more people who are new to the art of drawing to take part in future as well so I will have a think about how to attract more interest from both of these groups!!

From the feedback I have received it would appear that everyone has had a good time taking part and have supported the contest and each other by upvoting each others entries. I would hope that some of you have gained new followers as a result of the contest as well! :)
