This picture doesn’t need much of an explanation - the view outside my window. Freezing rain - something we haven’t seen in a while! The simple task of going to the store down the street gave rise to a heated debate - who’s going to risk life and limb when the road is covered in ice?
Well, it wasn’t that bad. I made it in one piece - walking really careful and slow. Very slow.
I do hope winter is on its way out as I cannot take any more days like this - dull gray with no sign the ice is melting. It’s not like I had anything planned, just the thought there’s really nowhere to go and nothing to do outside!
I know it will pass, I even wrote something to the effect a few days ago, but it’s hard to stay optimistic in a frozen world!
The people complaining about the heat and too much sun are kindly reminded it’s not nice to rub it in to the less fortunate. Grab a beer if you need to cool down!
We will have some mulled wine this evening, but that's hours away... for some reason, it's not socially acceptable to heat up with a nice mug of hot red wine in the middle of the day, not even in this lousy weather!
