So the storm has arrived and what a doozy. If you don't know already, much of the US is getting nailed with a really bad winter storm . We already lost a gutter in the back of the house, that blew down the street somewhere and hasn't been seen since 😒
It's a little early but I decided to dip into the shine and a little weed and learn "Let it snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" Seemed appropriate.
The windows are all covered with snow.... IDK how many people wanted snow for Xmas, but man they got their wish and then some...
A bunch of stray cats 🐈 decided to make our garage their new home. I put a bunch of old blankets out there for them last night and a bunch of food. I'd bring them in the house but they run away as soon as anyone gets too close.
I haven't gone out to feed them this morning because I don't want them to run out into the storm. They run away as soon as anyone opens the door.
So that's where I'm at this Christmas, I'll probably bake some cookies in a bit. We're still trying to have our Christmas gathering tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed.
Merry Christmas from wintery Buffalo NY.
On a final note, this Midnight Moon Apple Pie is awesome. But it is a little on the sweet side for my tastes. The big bottle tastes a little sweeter than the 50 ml sample I tried. I posted a review in the whiskey/whisky community. They also offer a 100 proof corn 🌽 liquor which I'll probably try next time. I did some research on this product though and it turns out this is actually a family shine recipe from Junior Johnson's family. He's a NASCAR driver.
Many people don't know, a lot of the early NASCAR drivers were bootleg moonshine runners. On the weekends they would get together to see who had the fastest cars and NASCAR was born. They needed fast cars to get away from the cops when they tried to steal their shine. 🤣😂😆 Those had to be some wild times. A lot has changed since then obviously, the sports come a long way since. Junior Johnson, trying to make shine legit! 🤣😂🍻 Cheers.
