Welcome to my snowshoeing adventure! The snow was fresh and undisturbed, super deep and still falling!
I have arrived! Driving here was wicked, it was a super long and wide road that had a lot of snow on it. The new snow tires I put on are definitely worth it! As I park and I can already see where I want to go, straight up!
They grip well with the metal claws, I can climb very steep.
My heart is already pounding, I basically sprinted up the hill I was so excited. My body already feels better, I use the polls to twist myself around to get the back crack of the century. Ready to move on!
My car in the distance, about to disappear now. Hope I didn't forget anything.
Much of this equipment I stumble upon looks to be long abandoned.
I appear to be on the expert trail, this trail is 9 km long. Not sure if I'm up for 9 km after 1 hill.
I feel very warm all things considered, it is approx -12 Celsius. I don't want to be too warm and sweat, seems good.
This video I made for fun. The weather suddenly turned and now it was much colder and snowing hard.
I found this cool old truck in the middle of nowhere. Nothing else is around it, very odd.
All the snow is undisturbed so I can see every critters movement patterns.
A grand opening in the tree line, it seems very inviting as I approach it.
This was a beautiful path I went down, the snow was up to 60 cm and it was all downhill. On the way I heard many strange animal calls I've never heard before.
I hope you enjoyed my adventure, Follow me on Steemit for I explore all year long parts of Ontario!
