Even though we all dream about money, resources, and hope, it is something very true in the fact that if you don't have money and resources, your life suddenly becomes easier. Just think about it, we struggle with so many things... you go to the store, should I buy the chocolate, or should I skip those calories? Should I eat healthier? Is it needed to buy a new pair of shoes, or should I buy something else?

If you don't have anything to use, then you don't have to worry about it or struggle with it. That makes life easier and even though this is on the edge, that means, we need the money and the resources and hope, we also see how life actually can feel easier if you don't have the resources, time, or the money, because then it is easier to say no and just move on.
