Steem version v0.20.0 (HF20) has been released this week. https://github.com/steemit/steem/releases/tag/v0.20.0
This hardfork is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25th.
To be able to implement this version on the blockchain, a majority of the Witnesses are required to run this version on their server. If that is the case, hardfork 20 will effectively become active on the Steem blockchain.
This hard fork makes easy signups possible.
