Happy New Year! It's been a long time, but I am still alive and actively participating in the Korean community. kr is now 4th popular tag and recently we have significant influx of people. To pace with, we started several newbie support initiatives as well as diversifying the group in to sub-tags, e.g. kr-travel, 'kr-join, 'kr-lovesharing, and many more. Although the whale issue is raised sometimes, we are still doing our best efforts to self-purifying.
Now, Steem is the most active blockchain in the world, approximately 1.6 million transactions per day and the number is increasing. This massive increase of network activities, the validation nodes demand more resources. Therefore, I have upgraded my witness nodes with 130G RAM (88G for shared memory) and 500G SSD. To greater scalability, I am testing an NVMe option for shared memory too.
Miscellaneous thing. SMT whitepaper will be translated in Korean soon. Regarding account creation fee, I have no strong preferences and hearing opinions. I do not discount price feed since I recognize high SBD prices can efficiently attract contents creators.
Best,
