Hey Morty, I'm a Witness Rick!
Just kidding, it had to be done. Anyway, you heard correct, from today I'm becoming a witness, attempting to serve the community better. I think I'll start from ditching this alias (sort of).

Who Am I?

Hey, I'm Roman Gabay, living in Israel, but originally from Uzbekistan.

I don't know if I look too old or too young for my age, but I'm 25, one of the July folk.

I've discovered this platform actually more than a year ago, made a user, published a post, and left very quicky, not realising the platform's potential. 10 or so months later I saw a post about it on Facebook, and decided to make a come back. Since I lost my other account, I opened a new one, and started curating posts I'd thought to be popular. Slowly studying the economics of this place, realizing that it was built with grace.
I powered up, and started curating, simultaneously testing out investment schemes through vote selling and SP delegation.

But even in the beginning, I knew that I had to think bigger than just making decent ROI and spreading the wealth with curation. And thus here are my Witness Goals:

My Witness Goals

1: to use 30% of SP gathered through the witness node (after hosting costs) to strengthen and grow the Israeli community, hopefully attracting some local developers & motivating them to start Start-Ups, and once they do, helping them in any way I can. I mean we're not called a Start-Up Nation for nothing.

2: secondly I'm putting an emphasis on fighting reward pool raping. All those circle jerking, shitposting and reward pool abuse have to stop. And the way to do it is to allow people to flag, without risking their posts' revenue, basically to make flag wars one sided, with the abuser unable to retaliate.

2b: the way to do that isn't complicated, quite simple really. A potential recruit of the flag army will just need to send me a memo with the registration fee (0.1SP), put their email in the memo, and send it through an exchange like Poloniex, for complete anonimity. I'll send a link for instant signup through Steem Invite. Then simply fund that account with some SP from the exchange and flag away.

*note that my goal is to prevent and minimize abuse of the reward pool, not to silence any opinions, please keep that in mind when requesting an anonymous account

המטרות שלי א': לספק תמיכה לישראלים

וכמו כל מערכת מדהימה, גם סטים זקוקה לכל התמיכה שהיא יכולה לקבל, וכעד אני יכול לספק יותר מהתמיכה הזאת, 30% מהרווחים שלי כעד (אחרי הוצאות שרת) הולכים להיות מושקעים בקידום הפלטפורמה בארץ, בין אם דרך פליירים, שלטי חוצות, או אף המודעות האינטרנטיות הסטנדרטיות, מזל טוב צוקי, אתה כנראה הולך להרוויח יותר מסטים ממה שאתה חושב.
מעבר לכך אני הולך לחפש דרכים כיצד להכניס יותר מתכנתים לקהילה שלנו, הן כי הם יכולים להרוויח יפה מאוד דרך יוטופיאן, והן בגלל אינספור ההזדמנויות שהפלטפורמה הזאת מספקת לסטארט-אפיסטים, הסטארט-אפ ניישן לא הולכת לדלג על סטים!

המטרות שלי ב': להגן על קרן התגמול

מעבר לכך בכוונתי להילחם בבעיה רצינית בסטימיט, שהיא אונס קרן התגמולים, אנשים שמפעילים עשות בוטים, או פותחים שניים-שלושה משתמשים חזקים ומאוננים אחד לשני על התגובות. זה צריך להיפסק, קרן התגמול נועדה בשביל יצרני התוכן, לא בשביל תאווי בצע חסרי כישרון.
