Calling Witness Matt!

Matt here, and I have never been into cryptocurrency. This is my first attempt. I am hoping to progress my knowledge as I delve into this unknown path

When I heard about Steem (i.e through Hive account@boxmining) I felt this was a cool way to test the water.

I love the concept to reward those contributing to the project. The whole idea is just groundbreaking, and the best thing I can contribute is becoming a witness on the steemit protocol.

In my day job I do some Ops on servers.

Being a witness for the steemit community presents the opportunity to extend my abilities as a system admin / Ops guy.

I look at my position as a witness as a concrete example for an existential claim. Say you stand up and say, "My security is protected by the mathematical formula n2 != 49" and I (i.e witness) reply with, "no way dude, you're insecure, there exists an integer n such that n2 == 49". These kind of conversation are the kinds that will make Steem great (I dare say Great Again)..
