"Tonight you will listen to the sorrows of my soul..
Though tomorrow you will forget all that has been told"
Malika Zeba is a very simple village woman, accused of killing her husband with an axe. This is the story of her honour...and that of her children...
• Set in a remote village in Afghanistan, it can so easily be the story of any home on the Indian subcontinent...
• I don't like slow, dark books and this one really made me slow down...a lot...and then it grew on me.
• It made me sad and uplifted me at the same time.
• I seldom give up on books midway and I am glad I stuck with this one..
• The book comes together beautifully after the first half, all the while building on the anticipation...
• If you have a daughter, you will appreciate this book all the more...
• Do read it if you like sensitive human portrayals...
It made lots of change in my heart and i can't feel anything except love.
