I have a ton of scraps since I never throw anything away because well you will always find some use from even the smallest piece of wood. So I'm sitting around waiting for glue to dry or something and I am getting antsy so I decide to make a Kazoo...... Cruisin thru my box of scraps I find some rosewood and some curly maple that is just the right size. Since my saw is still in storage this is good. All I need to do is cut the pieces to length on the band saw. The disc sander comes in real handy too. So this kazoo is really a little too big but it turned out sounding just like a really pissed bumble bee.....lol.... Kinda like a kazoo..... So it was real simple I sanded the top and bottom at a wedge shape and glued them to the sides. Then I drilled a hole in the top, and shaped it all with the sander. I made a piece to fit over the hole with a slightly smaller hole in it and two screw holes to hold it tight on the top. But now I have this good liking kazoo but it won't play..... Oh ya I need a membrane under that piece I screwed on, so I find a piece of cellophane and cut it to the shape of the cap and put it between the cap and the body and now it sounds like that bumblebee..... It was fun and I see more in the future as more inventory for the craft fairs. So here are some pictures , hope you like them....
