I have 2 vintage wood lathes and a set of very fine craftsman chisels given to me by my Grandfather. They are older than me and are still sharp enough to shave with. Since I can remember I have been fascinated with the lathe and what it could do. But every day I see someone that can just make the lathe do the most unreal things. I plan on using my lathe much more when my new shop is set up. I have made mostly basic turning but have always been interested by laminated turning and Greenwood turning. With all the mills around here I should be able to break into the Greenwood turning soon.... In my interest of listening I frequent you tube often and watch the gifted in action. I thought I would share a video I found on you tube where this guy turns a tumbling bowl. I get dizzy just watching the glue up.....sit back and enjoy this work of art being born.....
