So I glued it back together and finished it.
Long time followers may remember the saga of the mystery log and its ultimate demise. It was a sort of mash up between ugly duckling and humpty dumpty. A story about how a poor discarded log of wood, left to bake in the desert sun, found a home in my woodshop, but could not handle the stress and flew apart under pressure.
But now, humpty dumpty has been put back together and transformed into a beautiful swan.
Carob is dense and fine grained so it takes a high polish. Take a moment to admire the sheen.
Take a moment to appreciate the lustre.
Marvel at the depth of color from just coat of beeswax.
As it ages, the color will get deeper and richer.
