Introduction: World Ijtema is a mix of world peace and harmony by breaking the walls of all the Vedas. World Ijtema is usually the annual gathering of Tabligh Jamat, which is situated 22km north of the capital Dhaka on the bank of the river Turag. This rally of Tabligh Jamaat is the second largest Muslim gathering in the world. Religious Muslims from different parts of the world participated in this. World Ijtema, on the one hand, builds religious beliefs and emotions, and strengthens the religious fundamental of Muslims on the other.
History of the world Ijtema: Arabic Ijtema means a gathering or assembly. Initially, this grand rally was held in a part of the Kakrail Mosque in Dhaka and adjoining Ramna Udyan. From the history of Ijtema, it is known from the history of Tabligh Jamaat that the beginning of the work of Tabligh Jatiya in Saharanpur, about three or four years before Ijtema in Bangladesh. Maulana Ilias (R), founded this Tabligi program of the current section. In 1920 he started the invitation to Tablighi. He used to say this program, 'Isal nafs' or the first reading of self-realization. Initially, his ideology did not raise a response, but later it generously responded to the general public; Whose continuity is still growing.
Bangladesh and World Ijtema: In Bangladesh, the annual conference of Tabligh Jamaat or Ijtema was held in Kakrail Mosque in Dhaka in 1964. In 1948, Ijtema was held in Haji Camp in Chittagong. In 1958, Ijtema was held at Siddhirganj in present day Narayanganj. Since the number of participants in Ijtema increased every year, in 1966, Ijtema was organized in open field in Pagar village of Tongi. In addition to hosts Bangladesh this year, due to the participation of devout Muslims from different countries of the world, it became known as 'World Ijtema'. Since 1967, the world Ijtema is being held in the open field of 160 acres adjacent to the north east bank of the Turag river in Tongi. Every year, around 25 to 30 lakh devotees from around 50 to 55 countries in the world, including remote villages and towns and cities, participate in Ijtema.
World Ijtema organizer: Maulana Ilias (R) organizes regional conference or Ijtema with the introduction of Tablig. In the 1950s, Tabligh Jamiat was introduced in Bangladesh by Maulana Abdul Aziz (R :). The gathering was organized centrally from the Central Marrakah or Kakrail Mosque of Tabligh Jamaat in Bangladesh. The whole assembly is organized by a lot of devout Muslim volunteers. The Bangladesh government also took the necessary steps to make the world Ijtema successful.
World Ijtema preparation and activities: World Ijtema is held for three days. But the preparation of the World Ijtema started three-four months ago. The bamboo poles are prepared for the rallying of the open ground by wearing socks. Tin roof and tin fencing were arranged for foreign guests. The venue was first divided by Pinti number above the heart. Participants identify themselves with their number and number of Points. In addition, different sections of the different wards and districts of Bangladesh are divided.
Normally every year, on the third week of January every year, the program of world Ijtema begins with mango and left juma. Since the number of participants in the rally is increasing, Ijtema has decided to double the world Ijtema every year. In this continuation, the decision came into effect from 2011, and this rally was held in six days in a separate time for three days. The rally begins with the speech or open speech and ends with the final prayer or closing prayer.
World Ijtema: Creating religious enthusiasm: World Ijtema creates a lot of religious enthusiasm and emotions and opens up spiritual thoughts among the people. World Ijtema is basically a big gathering of Tabligh Jamat, but all Muslims participate spontaneously here.
