- World radio day is observed annually on the 13 February.
- The theme of World radio day 2018 is radio and sports. The day is organised globally by the UNESCO.
- The objective of the day is mainly today's Greater awareness among the public and media of the importance of radio and to encourage decision making me cause to establish and provide access to information through radio.
- On this occasion INDIA launched it's 1st online radio station names Radio Umang.
