- UN General Assembly, on 20th December 2013 in its 68th session proclaimed 3rd march as world Wildlife day.
- This day was proclaimed to celebrate and raise Awareness of the world wild animals and plants.
- the theme for World Wildlife day 2018 is Big Cats.
