Long before the people of Kalavia emerged, an ancient civilization (nicknamed The Deployers) existed in the universe. This civilization was highly advanced, both in technology and in the arcane arts. The deployers lived incredibly far away, and proceeded to colonise parts of their own universe by instilling barren planets with gargantuan devices, so called Core Machinae (or CM). They invented mighty devices called rockets, which were capable of compressing large objects under immense heat and pressure, and shooting these vast amounts of equipment to remote regions, and even into the centre of planets and stars. However, they always struggled to transport themselves using similar means, as the rockets themselves were typically subject to immense pressure and heat.
The core machinae were initially used to make planets in their own solar system inhabitable, but they soon proceeded to deploy these machines remotely, mounting them on rockets. This allowed them to geoform planets to suit their presence even before they were able to arrive there themselves. It is not known how many stars and planets have ended up with Core Machinae deployed on them, but Kalavia is certainly one of them as the Core Machinae smashed into the planet 51,051 years ago. The impact was so severe that most of the overground creatures and humanoids were eradicated by the resulting ash cloud, with other tribes and civilisations suffering severe losses.
When the CM landed and nested it in its core, the history of Kalavia truly began.
