Following the two goals scored against Iceland to boost Nigeria's hope of qualifying for the knockout stages on 22nd June 2018, Ahmed Musa sets a new record as the highest goal scoring Nigerian at the world cup finals.
The bolting Musa who already had two goals against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup brings the new tally to a total of four goals, ahead of the likes of Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amunike, and Kalu Uche who have two goals each.
The two brilliant goals from Musa were seen as a favour to Argentina who would have crashed out of the World Cup had Nigeria lost to Iceland. This puts Nigeria and Argentina in a winner-takes-it-all situation in their last match of the group stages.
