Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well so far and you have a day that has been full of numerous positive experiences! Today I would like to share some moments with you that I made in Vietnam and am happy if you can learn new things.
Vietnam has been so far one of the places where I have made really diverse experiences when it comes to traveling and a highlight for me while I was in the city hoi an was clearly the tour with a traditional boat to see the coconut village. To get to the place I first borrowed a bike from my hotel and had to go a little outside the centre which took about 30 minutes and one my way I decided to slow down because the ride was already an absolute highlight and led me across traditional rice fields. Arrived at the place I was very disappointed first because the boat rental was closed but I then found another option which offers these tours and that next to an extremely beautiful restaurant. Already there I was greeted by a friendly foreigner who has lived here for a long time and works in this locality and she told me a lot about the culture while I drank fresh water from a coconut which fell directly from the tree.
The tour itself costs a few dollars which is extremely fair for everything that people get here and was carried out by an extremely friendly and competent woman who explained everything to me well. The tour led me through a forest in which coconuts are freshly grown and the whole thing is combined with some tricks such as rotations with the boat. The woman has also started to sing something and depending on the provider these tours are of course designed differently and there are different options. The woman drove me to some friends of her who were just picking coconuts and so I could see live and authentically how they were cut from the tree, fell into the water and then collected. We went by boat to the harvest and also collected some which I was allowed to test afterwards and this was certainly a very authentic moment while I was in Vietnam that I could immerse myself so close in traditional life, but this is probably also because I did not take the first best option and went to a smaller provider with not many tourists. If you are in Vietnam in the city of hoi an, you should not miss this unqiue experience!
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new and like my post and appreciate my effort! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 and iPhone 16.
