Hey dear community, at the beginning I would like to welcome you all to my new contribution and hope you all have a week so far which is full of interesting experiences! Today I would like to share an experience with you again which I made while travelling and I'm glad if you get to know new places.
When I was in Romania I spent most of my time in the city of Bucharest, but I was also in places like Brasov, a historic city in the Transylvania region, which is known for its breathtaking landscapes. I didn't spend much time there but it was enough to get to know some important facets of the city and I visited some important sights such as the old town or the black church which is probably one of the most famous landmarks and has received its color through a fire. The traces of the foundation can already be traced back to the Middle Ages where it was created during the 13th century by a German order and later it became an important centre in this area and even today many people in the city also speak German as I have noticed. I talked to a woman who told me that there were much more people in the Saxon community in the past and today there are still about 1000 who belong to it and I found it very interesting in any case to meet people in the middle of Romania who belong to a other language community.
During the Middle Ages the city was still particularly known for trade, which can be traced back to the perfect location in the centre of Romania and in later times it also became particularly well known because of the connections to the well-known ruler Dracula. Even today, it's an important point of the country from an economic aspect and many companies are based here which have an important meaning for the infrastructure and also many young people choose Brasov to study. Unfortunately, I have not been able to spend so much time exploring the hiking trails but around the city there are some mountains that offer possibilities for beginners as well as advanced hikers. Brasov is also popular because of all the events that take place here from time to time and there is a lot to see here and it can be worthwhile in any case to stay longer to explore the whole area and I would say that Brasov has something to offer for pretty much everyone.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
