The Boiling River in the Amazon
Deep in the forests of the Amazon is an area called Mayantuyacu. Here lies a boiling river, whose temperature is so hotš„that anything that falls into it would be scalded and would die.
The locals use it for making tea or coffee or other cooking purposes. The temperature of the river water is 91 degrees Celsius, which is a whopping 196 degrees Fahrenheit! Yikes!
