I walked my bike to a bike shop to be repaired yesterday. I've never really been to an actual bike shop. I've known about this shop basically my entire life but never actually visited. They sell super amazing, high end bikes. Easily $2000-$5000 for most of the bikes, way out of my price range anytime soon. But it was really impressive in there.
I felt a little silly bringing my bike in there among all of these nice bikes. I had rust and other sort of not so nice cosmetic issues. But the main problem was my back brake not working. Another big problem is a distinct snapping sound when I pedal my bike. Feels like the chain pops but it's usually not the chain. I'd rather not have to buy a new bike and it seems repairing it won't cost me too much.
This is the bike that transported me to work 10 miles at 4:05 A.M. every morning in the middle of winter to be at work by 5. I think this bike deserves to be revived. I should at least try anyway.
I enjoy riding a bike and I want to get back in shape and go and long bike rides. I want to go on mini trips that maybe turn into longer ones if I enjoy it enough. Take pictures and things. It sounds peaceful.
I took it in the shop told my problems and they are going to try to fix them. Give it a test ride and everything which is good, because as soon as the ride it they will notice the problems.
The shop seems super legit which comforted me. I feel like these people know what they are doing. I hope so anyway.
These pictures sort of suck, just a warning. LOL. I was kind of rushed at this moment.
Hopefully they give me a call in a week or two and my bike functions safely. Spring is coming and I want to be active.
On my walk to the shop I walked past this Insurance Company building and noticed some funny random facts were posted.
At least you learned something interesting from this post right?
What's the weather like where you live? Are you ready for summer like me? STEEM ON.
