With my first blog on feminism, I learnt a lot from the reactions I got from friends.
I came to understand that various people have various perceptions about the whole concept.
I'm promoting feminism not because I view it as an avenue for women to rise above men, neither do I support any part where women are given special treatments in the society due to their delicate nature.
I believe in that aspect of feminism where women work hard and achieve their rights on merit without any form of discrimination nor being termed as the weaker vessel.
I view a society where women are not subjected to inhuman treatments of any kind, both domestically, and in the society at large but rather are given a place to sit and dine with the king makers without segregation.
The society I come from, every man needs a woman as an asset and not a liability, a woman with self worth, strong, virtous and hardworking.
Gone are the days when women stayed at home as house wives and do nothing.
Those were the days when the right of women were being utilized on their behalf by the society.
However, I believe in personal utilization of individual right.
My ideology on feminism may not tally with the general practice known to the world!
But my watch word is the protection of women's right and a platform for their voices to be heard.
